Shop Whole Foods on June 26 to support the Mount Pleasant Land Conservancy
The Mount Pleasant Land Conservancy (MPLC) is thrilled to announce that Whole Foods Market has selected the local land trust as their next 5% Day recipient.
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, June 26, and come shop for high quality natural and organic foods — the beer and wine selection is pretty amazing too. This is a great way to pick up some fantastic groceries while supporting local land preservation efforts.
A generous 5% of the net sales for the day will be donated to help the MPLC preserve the green spaces that we love in our communities.
Whole Foods is at 923 Houston Northcutt Boulevard in Mount Pleasant.
As a fun and rewarding incentive for shoppers, the MPLC will be hiding special paper trees throughout the shelves and shoppers will be encouraged to help “Find the Trees”! Between 10am-6pm, lucky shoppers who come across one of the “trees” can redeem it for a prize at the MPLC information table that will be set up inside the Market. Only one tree per customer and the prize will be revealed when redeemed. Some of the great give-away items include; MPLC T-shirts, Shem Creek art prints, tickets to the Golden Nugget Paddle & Party, boat cruise with Barrier Island Eco Tours, free registrations for the annual Race & Roast 5K trail run and oyster roast, and much more.
Whole Foods Market cares about the environment and has always given back to the communities they serve. The MPLC is pleased to be added to the growing list of local non-profit organizations that have been fortunate to partner with the store for their 5% Day. Make sure you stock up on all your grocery needs on Tuesday, June 26th and be sure you help “Find the Trees” while you shop.
The Mount Pleasant Land Conservancy is an independent nonprofit land trust that is committed to protecting land and natural resources that contribute to our quality of life.
