Local designers shine at Charleston Fashion Week on Wednesday night
Charleston has received many an award for it's charms lately. From Conde Nast naming our dear town as the "Best City in the World" to our endless list of James Beard Award nominees every year, Charleston is proving itself as a force to be reckoned with - and the local fashion industry is bringing a powerhouse of talent to the runway as well.

The stars truly came out to play at Charleston Fashion Week Thursday night. The front row consisted of celebrities such as Real Housewife of Atlanta Cynthia Bailey, Project Runway designer Mychael Knight, and Social Primer's K. Cooper Ray. And with the evening's featured designers being three contestants from NBC's newest hit show Fashion Star, the tents at Charleston Fashion Week seemed aglow with excitement.

The energy at Charleston Fashion Week was amped up to fantastic heights Wednesday night. The fashion stakes were raised on and off the runway by the attendees and designers alike.
The night kicked off with a unique vocal performance by local artist King Sing and was immediately followed by the shows of local retailers Tommy Bahama and designer/retailer JLINSNIDER. Charleston Fashion Week Night 1: A worldly kickoff
The first night of Charleston Fashion Week 2012 presented an array of unique styles, compositions and colors that showcased not only current global fashion trends but also local styles.
The show opened with a rousing performance by violinist Daniel D who played along to popular music favorites such as Michael Jackson and Adele. Immediately following the crowd was shown two shows by local retailers Poe Studio and Palm Avenue.

Recovery Room is S.C.'s best spot to grab a PBR (Update: No. 2 in the USA)
