What: Movie in the Lot
When: 6:00-9:30, Friday, April 19th, 2013
Where: Cinebarre Mount Pleasant 963 Houston Northcutt Boulevard, Mount Pleasant, SC
Why: DNLCC raises awareness about the issue of child abuse through its "I believe...Child Abuse is a Grown-up Problem" campaign. To further promote the "I believe..." campaign, DNLCC hosts a FREE family-friendly event with live performances, face painting, carnival games, respresentatives from community partners and a film under the stars. This late afternoon will be culminated with the feature film "The Lion King" at sundown in the Cinebarre parking lot.

Come watch a Movie in the Park and Support the Dee Norton Lowcountry Children's Center on April 19 at 6 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Town Hall Field, 100 Ann Edwards Lane.

Join The Dee Norton Lowcountry Children’s Center for the 9th Annual Fall Oyster Roast on Thursday, October 18th at The Lighthouse on Shem Creek from 7-10 pm! While enjoying oysters, BBQ, beverages and live music, guests will learn about the mission of DNLCC, the services available there, and the opportunities to become involved. Tickets will be available September 1st at www.dnlcc.org. Individual tickets for the evening are $25.00 per person in advance or $35 at the door and will include oysters, chili and hotdogs, beer and wine. Wild Woman Party

The Wild Women Party goes Red Hot this year when it moves to Harborside East on Thursday, September 13th! An annual gathering of women to benefit The Dee Norton Lowcountry Children’s Center (DNLCC), guests enjoy signature cocktails and delicious hors d’oeuvres during the party with an opportunity to go home with one of several pieces of jewelry handcrafted by local female artists. The goal of the event is to raise awareness among women about the issue of abuse and the healing resources available at DNLCC. The guest list is eclectic, including women of all professions and ages from the Lowcountry and is by invitation; the theme is RED.
Gathering Of The Elves

Calling all elves! Come spread some holiday cheer at the 8th Annual Gathering of the Elves to benefit abused children served by The Dee Norton Lowcountry Children’s Center (DNLCC). Bring an unwrapped toy/gift ($10 value or higher) or a $10.00 donation and be entered into a drawing for great prizes. Some of last year's prizes include a digital camera, Garmin GPS, Wii game system, and a night at Charleston Place. Our friends at Taco Boy will also give away gift certificates that can be used throughout the night. There is no cost to attend. The first prize drawing of the evening will begin at 7:30pm.
