Couple relocates to Charleston, open successful ComForcare Senior Services

After almost 4 years in South Carolina, Richard and Helene Glassman, owners of ComForcare Senior Services— a private-duty, non-medical home care service for seniors and others in need of assistance— have made an impact on their community. The husband and wife team moved to Charleston from Michigan in 2008 to open ComForcare to help care for people who don’t have family available or nearby.

The Glassmans felt drawn to open ComForcare after using the home care services for Helene’s aunt when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s several years earlier. With Richard’s past business experience and Helene’s background in physical therapy and care giving, ComForcare seemed like a natural fit.
