TheDigitel and Business Journal team up for Twitter follow-off; Prizes to be awarded

Want FREE MoonPies, RC Cola, and BBQ? Well just follow either @TheDigitel and/or @CRBJ on Twitter and tweet "I'm working to award a #MediaMogul title between @CRBJ and @TheDigitel http://bit.ly/G6df0"

Once one of us hits 1,000 followers we'll give a prize to whomever tweeted the message and is currently following the winning publication.

The Charleston Regional Business Journal and TheDigitel are having a Twitter race to see which of the two local media powerhouses will hit 1,000 followers first on the microblogging service.

When either outlet hits 1,000 followers, it will receive the honorary title of Twitter Mogul, and one current follower of that publication who has entered the contest will be awarded gifts to include a box of delicious MoonPies, a case of RC Cola and a gift certificate to a local barbecue joint.

To enter, all a Twitter user needs to do is follow (or be following) either @CRBJ or @TheDigitel and tweet “I'm working to award a #MediaMogul title between @CRBJ and @TheDigitel.” A drawing will be held after the 1,000th follower is recorded.

As of the afternoon of April 3, both media outlets were hovering around 700 followers.
