Questions of more women, and how Sanford's scandal was exposed (updated)

The State has put up an interesting piece that details how the scandal of Governor Mark Sanford's mistress came to be, and details political actions that left him out to dry.

Read more stories on this subject in our Mark Sanford topic page. But, perhaps most interestingly, is this line: "And more names of women were coming in over the transom. The total was at three and counting."

The State doesn't do much elaboration on the point in its very lengthy piece, but it's an angle we'll be watching and be sure to keep you posted on.

Update June 29: FITSNews reported way back on Friday that there may be three other women, and named two. Both of which denied having a romantic relationship with the governor.
