Stingrays head coach accepts position with Abbottsford Heat

Jared Bednar has stepped down from the position of Head Coach of the South Carolina Stingrays and has accepted a position of Assistant Coach of the Abbottsford Heat, the AHL Affiliate of the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League.

Cail MacLean, the Stingrays' assistant coach last season, became the franchise's fifth head coach. The Post and Courier has that story.
