Georgetown resident and former NFL player Ervin “Blue Print” Parker was invited to speak in December to some students at the Boys & Girls Club of the Grand Strand.
After speaking to about 25 teenagers involved in the program, along with some parents and club alumni who dropped in, Parker realized he wasn’t going to be able to limit his involvement to a one-time speaking engagement.
“It was just such a positive energy. It was just a good feeling,” Parker said. “I just liked what the young men and young ladies were all about and you just feel so much love. It just connected, actually.
