Update February 9: ABC News 4 caught up with the victim.
The news station also has a more general video report on the numerous robberies and security situation at the ATM.
First report: Last night marked the fourth robbery since December that has taken place at the 1828 Bohicket Road Bank of America ATM on Johns Island.
At around 8:45 p.m., a 24-year-old woman was robbed and kidnapped by a black man brandishing a pump action shotgun. The suspect first robbed the woman of her recently withdrawn cash, then hopped in the back seat of her car. He directed her to a nearby road where he made he empty the contents of her purse onto the road before allowing her to drive away.
The Post and Courier reports that police are urging everyone to use caution and keep an eye on their surroundings before using an ATM. Also, anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Charleston Police at (843) 577-7434 or Crime Stoppers at (843) 554-1111.
