Freshfields Village’s summer events line-up kicks off with a variety of free, weekly events. Starlight Cinemas and Music on the Green will begin the first week of June.
All events are family friendly. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair, and food and beverages will be available for purchase.
Starlight Cinemas will screen top family movies on an outdoor movie screen at the Village Green beginning June 1. Showtime is 8:30 p.m.
Music on the Green will start June 3, and take place Fridays through Labor Day from 6-9 p.m.
June 3: The Shem Creek Boogie Band- covering favorites from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, as well as rock & roll, shag music and beach tunes
June 10: The Coppertones- performing classic R&B and Carolina Beach music with four-part harmony
June 17: Groove Train- Charleston-area rock band playing covers and original material, from James Taylor, Neil Young and REM to Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and The Stone Temple Pilots
June 24: White Chocolate- playing rock, R&B, '70's, Big 80's, Motown, beach, jazzy standards, acoustic favorites and more
