The Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art presents a solo exhibition by Austrian artist Erwin Redl, whose work explores the relationship between the “digital experience”, light, architecture, and art. On Friday, May 20, Erwin Redl: Rational Exuberance will premiere and an opening reception will be held from 6:30PM to 8:00PM Complimentary refreshments and light hors d’oeuvres will be served. This exhibition will feature a series of light installations, kinetic works, prints, and an exhibition film. Redl’s works transform binary algorithms into art through the scale, repetition, and variation he incorporates. The exhibition will be on view at the Halsey Institute May 20 – July 9, 2016. Event and admission are free and open to the public.
