The route went to California and back.
Today, September 9, Dwight Hora returns home to Beaufort after a month-long 9,000-mile journey to raise money and awareness to build houses for homeless veterans.
Hora, a Marine Corps veteran, raised $31,035, riding his Harley to the West Coast and back to meet with Veteran groups.
Hora is a member of the Classic Car and Truck Club of Beaufort, and the group is throwing a welcome back party timed to Hora's arrival near 1:30 p.m.
The group will meet at Joker Joe's at Exit 8 off of I-95. After meeting Dwight, they will escort him back in to Beaufort with the classic cars to the VFW on 37 Castle Rock Road.
