Up for making a short drive for some tasty beer and meat? Well consider a trip for the German-themed "Beer & Brat Fest" in Bluffton's old town for a bit of "Herzlich willkommen!"
Offered will be more than 30 types German, domestic, and microbrews, live music, crafts, and lots of brats. There will also be activities for the kids, like face painting.
The festival runs on Saturday, September 24, from noon to 7 (so you can still head back for the Port Royal street music).
I've seen conflicting reports on if it's $5 or $10 to get in, but bring more than $10 as you'll need the cash to pick up food and brews. Kids get in free.
Head down to Calhoun Street in Bluffton.
