Regulation could soon come to S.C. homeowner associations

Contrary to appearances, it seems homeowners associations do not want more rules -- at least when they apply to how they enforce the rules.
The Post and Courier has a lengthy article that walks through the debate for regulation of homeowner associations.

The call for the change is a familiar one: Some associations are too erratic or too power hungry and they answer to no one.
And while it seems most are ready for some type of change, some say the proposed legislation is too invasive and would create too much bureaucracy.
