'You idiots can't do any better?' About the state legislature

State Rep. Todd Rutherford was none too happy about a panel's recent decision not pursue impeachment of Governor Mark Sanford.

Read more stories on this subject in our Mark Sanford topic page.In fact it set him off on quite a rant -- which is where the quote in the headline comes from. Rutherford is probably right to be upset as a censure was the same punishment placed on Sen. Lindsey Graham for playing nice with the neighbors.

The Post and Courier's Brian Hicks has done a lighthearted rundown of the situation.

In South Carolina, it really feels as though the questions isn't if its the Governor or Legislature are incompetent, but which is more.
