One last time: Sanford delivers State of the State address, and apologizes

Our governor, Mark Sanford, delivered his final State of the State address on Wednesday, January 20, and managed to eek out one final apology "for the situation I created."

Still, the governor charted three main goals for his last year: reforming the unemployment agency, putting gubernatorial and lieutenant governor candidates on the same election tickets, and helping conserve money during good years.

The Post and Courier has a write-up along with a text transcript, but I found The State's write-up to be generally better and it includes video of Sanford's address and the Democrat response; get them here.

There's plenty of great Charleston content out there, but it's ever harder to find -- Charleston's TheDigitel is the only place to get linked to the best Charleston content and events.
