Goose Creek council to vote on smoking ban (Update: Banned)

Update: Goose Creek Town Council voted in the ban on Tuesday night — it goes into effect July 1.
The vote was split 4 to 3.
First reporting: Today, January 8, Goose Creek Town Council is expected to vote on a second and final reading of a proposed smoking ban in public areas.
The ban would affect public places like parades, within 10 feet of doors, and in bars and restaurants.
The first reading passed 4-3 in December. In September a proposed ban in North Charleston was voted down.
