Update September 26: ABC News 4 is reporting that Deaton's injuries have proved fatal.
First reporting September 25: Two friends and former Wando High School students that shared a past connection in high profile student armed robberies now also share connections for both being involved in tragic accidents.
Jackie Lee Washington, 22, died after apparently jumping from the southbound U.S. 17 bridge over the Ashley River on Tuesday; read the story on that.
Sean Deaton, 22, is in critical condition after being struck by a SUV on U.S. 17 in West Ashley; read the story on that.
Very odd.
