Cyrus Buffum's personal mission is to keep Charleston's waterways clean and protected, and as the brains and braun behind the Charleston Waterkeeper program, he is making it happen.

Read more stories on this subject in our water topic page.Buffum's dedication to his cause is admirable and inspiring. He single-handedly heads the non-profit that started up last September, but support from the community goes a long way.
