Auctioning off a green home -- made of shipping containers

Associated Container recently donated one of their "green" shipping-container homes to Sea Island Habitat for Humanity ReStore.

Built from used shipping containers, the home is not only durable but virtually immune from natural disasters and, to top it off, very green.

It reuses "gray water," has solar panels, hardiplank and bamboo surfaces. -- But the home is a little too classy for Habitat's modest style and they're auctioning it off to raise money.

You can learn more about the home and the sealed-bid auction in this video at Live 5 News.
