World's largest MoonPie to be dished up at opening celebration

The MoonPie General Store will be holding a grand opening celebration like no other this Saturday, June 6.

The 50¢ hotdogs and RC Cola are great fun, but they'll also have the world's largest MoonPie -- weighing in at 55 pounds.
The giant MoonPie, boasting 14 pounds of marshmallow and six pounds of chocolate, will be unveiled at 1 p.m. and all in attendance will get a free slice of the pie. The store also offers up clothing, ice cream, Carolina Gourmet foods and toys.
The MoonPie General Store is located at 48 North Market Street, downtown.
