S.C. has two new Miss's

Over the weekend in North Charleston a new Miss South Carolina USA and Teen USA were picked: Stephanie Smith and 18-year-old Mary Helen Caver.

Apparently the runner up to Caver was ... her sister. Wow.

Now, if the new Miss Teen can ever live down Miss 2007's embarrassment, is another question.

Competitions for Miss USA and Miss Teen USA will be held during the next several months.

You can go catch a video of the event at North Augusta Today, while The Palmetto Scoop has developed a crush on Caver and has tons of pics of her.

The pageant is produced by the Miss Universe Organization, which is backed by Donald Trump and NBC Universal. There's also a Miss South Carolina, which Anna Truluck Perry won in July. -- Perry will compete for the "Miss America" title on January 24.
