Get back into the school year (and free supplies) at the First Day Festival

City of Charleston

The 10th annual First Day Festival is coming to entertain and prepare kids for their first day of school on Sunday, August 19, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Every August by attending the festival thousands of students get prepared for the education year and receive school supplies for the new school year. There will also be education exhibits, snacks, face painting, boat rides, and other fun activities for kids.

The event is at Liberty Square at the S.C. Aquarium and the Charleston Maritime Center.

The festival is free, but you can bring a nonperishable food item to donate to the Lowcountry Food Bank.
$1 Parking at the SC Aquarium garage and Gaillard garage.

There's plenty of great Charleston content out there, but it's ever harder to find -- Charleston's TheDigitel is the only place to get linked to the best Charleston content and events.
