Charleston episode of 'Bizarre Foods America' airs on the Travel Channel

Travel Channel's Bizarre Foods is back but this season chef, writer, and culinary explorer Andrew Zimmern is ditching his passport because he’s discovered that some of the strangest foods and most colorful characters in the world are right here in the good old USA.

On Monday's episode, which aired at 9 p.m., Andrew goes beyond the plantation tours to explore the food scene in Charleston. Watch as Andrew tastes the world’s greatest BBQ; takes an unforgettable journey on a clamming boat; and much more.

You can watch multiple clips from the episode which highlights Sean Brock's pig ears, the melt in your mouth barbeque at Scott's BBQ in Hemingway, SC, Martha Lou's soul food, the Lowcountry seafood scene and much, much more.

There's plenty of great Charleston content out there, but it's ever harder to find -- Charleston's TheDigitel is the only place to get linked to the best Charleston content and events.
