Battery defeats Miami 1-0; Face Rochester next

The Charleston Battery remains the lone unbeaten team in theUSL First Division topping Miami FC Blues 1-0 last night, May 20.

Midfielder Darren Spicer scored the game winning goal finishing off a Nelson Akwari header in the 77th minute.

The win moves the Battery (3-0-4, 13 points) into a three-way tie at the top of the USL First Division table with Carolina and Rochester.

Next up, the Battery host Rochester (4-2-1, 13 points) Saturday, May 23 with kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
