Aquarium observers Talk Like a Pirate Day

Bring a costume and enjoy a scavenger hunt and more at the S.C. Aquarium on Saturday, September 20.

They say:

Ahoy maties! Join the South Carolina Aquarium to celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day! Don your pirate gear and head down to the Aquarium to enjoy a scavenger hunt through the Aquarium, fun activities and shows with fellow pirate castaways! Enjoy a special day filled with activities, fun and excitement for the whole family. On the third Saturday of the month, the South Carolina Aquarium will offer an extra dose of interactive excitement for visitors to enjoy.

I know they're a day late, but since they're such a good group I'll let it slide this once. Or, to put more properly: Arrr, they's a tide late, but since they's such a good squadron will let be slide this once.

Now, I know they didn't explicitly say so, but I suspect this is kid oriented, so if you're older than 15 and not coming with someone younger than five, maybe leave the pantaloons at home. But go ahead and keep the eye patch.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the aquarium at 100 Aquarium Wharf.

It's free with your general admission.
