Charleston hit with 22 bank robberies this year; 11 this month (update: Make that 23 and 12)

Update June 29: And there are reports coming that there's been another robbery, this time in West Ashley.

Yes, that makes it 23 for the year and 12 for the month. 

Post and Courier reporter Andy Paras is reporting that a suspect in this robbery has been caught.

First reporting: A robbery at a bank in downtown Summerville on Monday marks the 22nd robbery in Charleston and Dorchester counties for 2010 -- and the 11th for just June.

Police are lacking a good explanation as to why it's happening but are promising increased patrolling.
