Tanger outlets gaining a Saks Off Fifth (Update: Open)

Update September 23: The new Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH opened on Thursday at the Tanger Outlets in North Charleston.

The store is hosting opening festivities with deals throughout the weekend, giving away totes with any $50 purchase among other items.
The store occupises 25,000 square feet.
First reporting December 2010: Although Saks Fifth Avenue is no longer part of downtown Charleston's landscape, the upscale merchant isn't leaving the Lowcountry completely.
In the works for October 2011 is a new Saks Off Fifth store to be located in the Tanger Outlet Center in North Charleston. Expect to see discount designer merchandise marked 40-70 percent off.
Another store planning to enter the Tanger Outlets in May is American Eagle Outfitters.
