S.C State's tuition to rise 8.4%

S.C. State University trustees have voted to increase the tuition this fall by 8.4 percent, $327 per semester, citing the university's $7.7 million funding cut over the past two years.
Read more about this on tuition topic page. In addition, the board of the Orangeburg school voted to raise the fees for the meal plan and housing.
State-supported colleges are being forced to share roughly $100 million with S.C. State's cut being around $3.2 million. Pop over to The State or check out the press release for more on the tuition increase.
