With the fiscal year having recently ended, on Thursday the Georgia Ports Authority held an upbeat State of the Ports Address.

In all the authority saw records for total tonnage, containers, and autos. At the Port of Savannah 2,982,467 TEU containers were moved, that's 1.9 percent growth over FY2011 for 55,221 more containers.

That's nearly twice as mauch as the Port of Charleston.

There's plenty of great Charleston content out there, but it's ever harder to find -- Charleston's TheDigitel is the only place to get linked to the best Charleston content and events.
