Celebrity Cruise Line rebranding Mercury, sending her to Europe
Celebrity Cruise Line's norovirus riddled ship, the Celebrity Mercury, is saying bon voyage to the port of Charleston and heading to Europe.
Read more stories on this subject in our Celebrity Mercury topic page.The ship made national news when hundreds of passengers fell ill on on three consecutive voyages out of Charleston. The stigma attached to the Mercury was too much to handle for both passengers and Celebrity Cruise Line, so the the cruise line is shipping her off to Germany and renaming her.
The Mercury will be renamed Mein Schiff 2, which translates to "My Ship 2."

So will another ship from Celebrity Take the place of this one sailing out of Charleston Eventually? Because it would be a waste of money for that cruise terminal if a celebrity line does not come back in and other companies dont replace it.
