Go see 'Reefer Madness' on the cheap

After a great run at Theatre 99, Reefer Madness: The Musical is back at The Village Playhouse through the Saturday the 18th.

Tickets are $25 or $16.50 for students.

The show is put on by Charleston' Sheri Grace Productions and inspired by the classic 1936 anti-marijuana propaganda film, Reefer Madness.

Here's a bit more about it from the theater: "The Musical tells the tale of Jimmy Harper, an all-American youth whose life falls into a pit of debauchery and despair after one puff off the evil marijuana cigarette. But will his love for the beautiful Mary Lane be enough to save him from the wickedness of Mary Jane?"

The shows are at 8 p.m. and The Village Playhouse is at 730 Coleman Boulevard in Mount Pleasant.
