Freecycle: Get (and give) free stuff in the Charleston area

Sure, there's Craigslist's free section, but did you know there's another way to score free stuff in the local area? It's called Freecycle.

The Summerville Journal Scene has a good breakdown of what it is.

The paper talks mainly of the Summerville group, but there are several active communities in the tri-county area:

• Charleston: 6,075 members
• Summerville: 2,494 members
• North Charleston: 1,397 members
• Goose Creek: 813 members

Hint: The Freecycle groups are actually Yahoo message boards.
