Eight take home cash in annual City Paper photo contest

From a pool of 340 entries, judges picked 12 cash-prize winners in the "2009 City Paper Photo Contest."
Photos were judged in three categories: People, places, and things. Each category a first, second, and two honorable mention categories.
There are some really great shots in the bunch; so go check out the whole dozen.
With three awards Dan Xeller took a 2nd place for "Puerto Lopez Fishermen," another 2nd place "Menemsha Beach," and an honorable mention for "Store Front, Ecuador."
Priscilla Thomas, netted a 1st place for "The Elements: Earth" and an honorable mention for "Light Seeker."
Katy Perrin netted a 1st place for "Time Warp" and an honorable mention for "Brick Shit House Recliner."
And five others took individual awards.
